Car Insurance Dodge (Car Insurance). is this a reasonable rate to charge for auto repair?is this a reasonable rate to charge for auto repair? so I burn out my car horn and I went to honda dealership to buy the replacement, I bought the replacement and took it to my local auto repair shop, the guy charged me 30 dollars to replace the old broken horn with the new horn, I stayed and watch him do the whole thing, it only took him like 10-15 minutes to do the whole process of taking my car to the lift and putting his hand underneath the bumper to remove the old horn and put in the new horn. the guy charged me 30 dollars, would you consider this to be a resonable rate? or did I get ripped off? I just feel that the reasonable price should have been 15 dollars. remove the horn 5 cents knowing what wires and bolts to remove and use of lift $29.95 sounds fair to me Labour charges are based on book times (the average time it takes a technician to do the repair), not the actual time it takes. If a repair book time is 0.3 hours for example, that's how much you will be charged, regardless if the actual job took 5 minutes or 30 minutes. That's very fair. What prevents someone from signing off the bank lien on their title themselves and selling you their vehicle? I am going to purchase a motorcycle today. The person selling the motorcycle informed me Friday that they needed to make sure to get home early enough for the bank to sign off on the title or we wouldn't be able to make the transaction on Saturday. I got a hold of him later in the day and when asked if he got the secured interest signed off on the title, he told me that they told him once I get there, as long as it's cash, he can take it over to the bank owner's house and the bank owner will sign off on the title. It is a small town and I understand that things like this happen frequently in smaller towns, but it still sounds kind of fishy to me. What I'm basically wondering is this...is it possible for him to sign off on the secured interest himself, sell me the bike and then me find out later that I bought a bike that still has money owed on it by another party? How to Remove the Gas Tank From a 1994 Jeep WranglerIf the fuel tank in your Jeep Wrangler has starter to leak, is rested badly or dented, reducing fuel capacity, you can remove it from the Jeep and replace it with a new OEM or after market tank. Choose a time when there is very little or no fuel in the Jeep. Removing a full fuel tank is not safe and, frankly, much harder to do. New tanks are available at the Jeep dealer or many auto parts stores. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Jack Jack stands Socket set Ratchet Pliers Step by Step : 1 Raise the rear of the Jeep Wrangler with a jack and support it on a set of jack stands positioned under the rear axle housing. Locate the two bolts in front of the gas tank that secure the tank straps to the cross member in front of the tank. 2 Position a floor jack under the center of the tank and place a wide piece of wood on the jack. Raise it until it is just touching the bottom of the tank. Loosen the two strap retaining bolts with a socket and ratchet. Work slowly, making sure to balance the weight of the tank on the floor jack. 3 Continue loosening the retaining bolts until they are free of the cross member. Pull the two support straps down and lower the jack slowly until you can reach the connections on the top of the tank. 4 Disconnect the electrical connector at the fuel pump/sender module. Lay the wiring harness aside and move to the fuel line connections. Loosen the clamps on the fuel lines. If these have never been removed, they will have spring clamps on them. Squeeze the tabs on the clamp together with a pair of pliers then slide them off the hose end. 5 Pull the hoses loose using a slight twisting motion. You may get a small amount of fuel from the end of the hose when you remove it. Set the hose aside and lower the jack and tank all the way down. Slide the tank out from under the Jeep.

The debris and moisture can cause rust on the outside of the tank and sediment to settle in the bottom of the gas tank. When rust and sediment get to the point that damage can be done to the fuel pump and fuel system, the tank should be removed. Close the valves on each jack by turning clockwise and elevate them until they contact the bottom of the gas tank. 6 Use the flat-tip screwdriver to disconnect the gasoline lines from the gas tank to the fuel pump and to the tank fill point. 7 Use the 1/ 2-inch drive ratchet and 3/4-inch socket to turn each of the four tank support strap bolts counterclockwise and remove. The gas tank will be loose at this point and supported by the hydraulic jacks. 8 Lower each hydraulic jack as evenly as possible by turning the hydraulic jack valve counterclockwise to the open position. 9 Move the gas tank away from the work area and remove from the hydraulic jacks. Tips & Warnings It is best to disconnect the battery while doing the procedure. It is not necessary but advisable. Static electricity can build up and cause gas fumes to flash. It is easier to drain the gas tank if the tank is near empty. Do not attempt this procedure near an open flame. Explosion and severe burns are a serious possibility.
